As Requested... Some Photos

A few of my blog readers requested that I post some CURRENT photos of my home, my office where I work from, etc. after they saw some old photos (from 1994) of my little apartment office from 10 years ago.

So, I decided to take some current photos of my home and post them for your enjoyment. And, Yes, I live in a PINK HOUSE. Don't make fun. ;-) It's actually a popular mediterranean style here in Florida.

This is a front-shot of the place I call "home."

This is my primary workstation where I do most of my work from. That desk actually wraps around that entire room. I had it custom-built so I could have several workstations in one room. (You'll see them in the next couple of photos.) The camera is kind of skewing things, but I'll explain what's in view... That's a 20" NEC monitor. (Great for games!) The CPU is an Alienware system. (If you look closely to the right of the chair you can see the little "alien" logo on the computer tower.) My 40gig iPod and headphones are to the left of the keyboard. (I love listening to music while I work.) On the wall are autographed boxing trunks of Muhammad Ali. It contains a plaque that says, "The Greatest Of All Time." It's very inspiring to look up and see that while I am working. The photo next ot the plaque is of Ali standing over Sonny Liston after he knocked him out in the 1st round of their rematch -- it was the first time Ali ever defended his heavyweight title. My chair is a Herman Miller "Aeron" chair. Incredibly comfortable. (Highly recommended.)

This workstation is directly to the LEFT of my primary workstation (shown above.) This is my "multimedia" system that I use for producing audio & video products. It's a Mac Dual 2.0 Ghz G5 with a 23" Cinema Display. Also in the photo is an Edirol USB audio box, a Sony DSR-22 DV deck, and a 20" Sony broadcast/preview monitor. On top of that monitor is a 17" G4 laptop. (The exposure on this photo is a little wacky for some weird reason.)

This workstation is directly to the RIGHT of my main workstation area. This system is used for some planning, as well as for some accounting tasks.

This is my favorite room in the house. The PLANNING ROOM! This room has two huge 12 foot whiteboards on the walls and a conference table in the middle. I often take breaks and get away from the computers by going into this room and sitting down to brainstorm and plan on what I need to work on next. This room is single-handedly responsible for the growth of my businesses. I strongly recommend you setup a dedicated area in your home (even if it's just the corner of a room somewhere) where you can go (AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTER!) to do some planning and to figure out what you need to be working on next -- and in what order. Planning and timetables are critical if you want to maximize the amount of money you make from your marketing. And, Yes, this whiteboard image was blurred in Photoshop so you couldn't read it. :-) Sorry, but there is literally several million dollars worth of data on that whiteboard.

This is another angle of the Planning Room. You can see the corner of the whiteboard shown in the photo above on the right, and you can see the other whiteboard that's on the opposite wall of this room.

I just had to do it! Your daily reminder from me that you need to make sure you TEST with everything you do!

This is a shot of a studio room in the house. This room is for my audio & video production gear. That's a Canon XL-1 camera for any geeks out there that care. :-) I setup that room when I need to shoot some shots of myself talking to the camera, or to do product shots.

Okay! So my home isn't ALL about WORK. I do like to relax and enjoy myself. This is a shot of my home theater. The angle is a little skewed. That's a shot of "Finding Nemo" on a 70" Mitsubishi high-def TV. I had to special order that TV as no store carried one that big. (I know, it's not really necessary. But you should see how cool Xbox games are on it!) I really enjoy watching movies and make good use of this room as much as I can.

Here's another thing in the house that I use to take a "break" from working. When I get burned-out on working too much on a project, I'll usually come downstairs (my office is upstairs) and shoot some pool to recharge my wacky brain.

Well, that's about it for now! I hope you enjoyed seeing some photos of where I live and where I work. I am very blessed to have such an amazing home, and all the hard work over the past 15 years was definitely worth it. When I was living in a tiny apartment and wondering how I was going to pay my next rent payment I always knew that someday I WOULD have a great life like I do today. That's why I kept working so hard and believing in myself. Make sure you take time to do the same -- no matter where you are in your business life.

Oh, John!

I'm so happy for you to have that wonderful home and all the great 'spaces' in which to lose yourself in work or play. Now I know why you always have a serene and happy look on your face!

It's my dream to have just half that much when I make my splash online. I wish I had your brain, for I think that's most of the battle, really.

I'm sorry to have missed your seminar, and Armand's but the financial situ has now reached critical... nearly $100,000 in debt totally and no full-time job yet, so I am now planning where I want to go to work again. My website is selling about three sales a month give or take one, and that just won't support me. :-)

But...... I remember the wonderful things you say and the great stuff you share with all your 'fans' (of which I am DEFINITELY a part!) and I will persist until I succeed. There is no turning back now!

Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us, and for all you do to help others. You will always have a warm, special place in my heart!

With love and admiration,
Donna :-))

P.S. If you want to create something really amazing for your affiliates and other struggling entrepreneurs, my idea for your next ebook is one about HOW, in great detail, step-by-step, to test things. Nobody really understands the process, so they just usually 'skip' it... myself included... sad to admit.

Thanks for the tour, the tips & the example you've set. I hear you gave 200% at the workshop you just hosted in Orlando. How can you continue to be so dang consistent?

Don't they have curtains in Florida? Kidding.

Your workshop was truly amazing. I too have been approached by people (who could have easily spent the money to come) asking me to give them my notes. I refused. I'd never dishonor your workshop like that. I've christened my notes "the bible." And I ain't sharing them with anybody. ;o)

People who weren't there don't know but John was given a rousing standing ovation for about 3 full minutes. It wasn't the kind of clapping where you keep going because you don't want to stop before your neighbor does. It was the kind of clapping where this guy overdelivered more than you can possibly imagine. My hands hurt but I didn't want to stop showing you appreciation. Thank you, John.

Hey... we all know that only REAL MEN live in pink houses (and eat quiche)! Every time I hear John Mellencamp's "Little Pink Houses" I'll sing "little pink houses... for Jo - hn Reese." Seriously, awesome place... beautiful design... great landscaping.

I second everything Lorrie said about the workshop. It was an awesome educational experience for me. An amazing bonus was that I had an incredibly fun time as well. I can't think of the last time I sat in a room learning all day, partied until 3am with cool people I have tons in common with, and then actually looked forward to getting up at 8am to do it all over again the next day. That was an unexpected and wonderful surprise! I knew John would be brilliant (thank you John, you outdid yourself), but to meet so many other unique, intelligent, funny people was the icing on the cake! :)

Donna, you hang-on in there!

It's those dreams and aspirations that push us beyond our comfort zone, and ultimately towards our ultimate goal :)

that we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying
down." -- Mary Pickford.

P.S. John, you're awesome!

Nice House, Great TV, I also like to play my video games on that one, it is really cool! No doubt. The workshop was incredible, It started to bring me extra sales and more money, Thanks. I will send you a great testimonial soon
:-)

Sweet pad!! I missed your work shop in Florida - I hear it was the real deal. Enjoyed our brief chat during Aramand's Seminar - I look forward to future copies of your Newsletter.
Always inspring to see people taking it to the top.

Take care

John,

I was telling someone the other day that when I met you 2 years ago when you were still flying stealth, I knew within 10 minutes that you were THE person to learn from when it comes to Internet Marketing, and the event you had was exactly what I'd been waiting for.

I appreciate the chance to work at your event (I was the "mic" guy). It was funny, because I'd be so wrapped up in furiously writing notes, and then all of a sudden, someone had a question and I had to dart off to give him/her the mic. Definitely well worth the effort!

Your event has lit a fire under my you-know-what, and I'm slowly implementing what I've learned, and will continue to "gradually improve" my results.

For those of you who wonder if you can do it or not, I met someone at John's event that's only 19, and he's experiencing great success online (and flew half-way around the world to be there). Don't give up on your dreams, just get started doing SOMETHING, and by all means, save every John Reese newsletter, article, etc. that you receive in a separate folder, and consider it your Multi-Million Dollar Marketing Bible, because everything he teaches will turn to gold IF YOU USE IT! Believe me, I've learned this the hard way, by putting off things John has personally taught me, and I only wonder where I'd be today if I'd started implementing those things from day one (Oct 2002).

As a matter of fact, I made a promise to John in an email I sent him after the event, that he wouldn't hear from me again until I have reported some GOOD RESULTS from what he's taught me, because, frankly, he's given me million dollar advice in the past via email that I didn't TAKE ACTION ON, and I swore this time that I would give him what he truly wants from everyone he teaches... TAKE ACTION AND MAKE A TON OF MONEY.

Good luck to everyone. By the way... the people who have previously posted on this thread are great people (I met them at John's event - Kelli, Lorrie, Giancarlo), and are going to be even MORE successful than they already are by listening to John.

Take care,

Andy Hussong

John,

Thank you for sharing what taking ACTION can do for anybody!

Thank you John,

I learned something from noting the working facilities you've got;because you need them, to have the success you so richly deserve.

Reg Block

John, you have a nice bachelors pad.
As my girlfriend would say it lacks the women's touch!

Why do I say that? Because it is simple & uncluttered looking (sorry ladies, I really mean lack of decor).

John, would you please recommend your favorite top internet marketing books that contains info that you have tested & proven to work?

Wow, what a great pink palace for such a sensitive guy. You are an icon for the power of creativity in a clutter-free zone. When's the housewarming party? Mel

John,

Thanks for the inspiring pictures of your "palace". I love the structure, the planning room, the computer room, and your "recovery areas". Truly fit for the KING of internet marketing.

More importantly... A HUGE THANKS FOR DELIVERING THE MOST KICK-ASS, MONEY MAKING SEMINAR EVER! I don't say this lightly.

I have to admit, after the event I was paralyzed... Too much to do... too much info... But, one keyword came to my mind that John STRESSED at the event: MOMENTUM.

This week has been great, putting many of John's ideas into place... momentum is building... OH YEAH!

Another huge bonus at the event was the "vibe" with all of the attendees. I've attended a lot of seminars and this one was the easiest place to network by far. There was an instant respect between participants simply because of our connection through John.

Here's a "small" list of some of the amazing people I met and *connected* with:

- Carlos Garcia and his wonderful wife, Dumay are some of the nicest people I met (what can you expect, they're Canadian ; )

- Giancarlos, my friend, it was great to connect! Look forward to new adventures in the future.

- Paul Myers, definitely the coolest, most humble cat in the marketing game. Very funny too!

- Lorrie "Red Hot Copy" and John, were a blast! They have a great view of the world to say the least... And Lorrie IS RED HOT!

- Dr. Mike, great guy, very nice and SMART. He gave me several killer ideas that I'm going to work on implementing (Dr. Mike would you please email the photo of John and I to the address in this post? Thanks)

- Alex Sampson, he's another super nice, super cool cat.

- Marc Harty, who seemed to be stalking me all week, is another great guy who helped me come up with some great ideas with John's "exercises".

There are so many others: Alex Mandossian, Mike Santiago, Drew and Craig (double your dating guys), Leslie Karsner, Don Crowther and everyone else who I met were just fabulous!

My only fear is that John is going to "give away" too much in his upcoming products ; )

John is THE UNDISPUTED KING of internet marketing!

Matt

Great pad! I like how you only showed part of your bedroom and called it "the studio room". Ain't that the truth!

On a more serious note, I'd like those of you out there who missed John's Workshop to raise your right hand.

Good.

Now, take that hand, turn it around, and give yourself a GIANT he-bitch-man-slap across the face.

Now thank yourself. You deserved it. And let that be a personal reminder to you that your life is a valuable thing, and shouldn't be taken for granted.

Huh?

Well, look at it this way. In life, you are only presented with so many truly "life changing" opportunities.

Whether it's an opportunity to meet that one special person, take an amazing trip, or do something you'd never dreamed you'd have a chance to do, these opportunities are few and far between.

But I think you'll agree that these opportunities, while rare, are what life is all about, and in some cases, make life worth living.

John's Seminar wasn't an opportunity in itself, but an EXPRESS, FIRST-CLASS TICKET to future opportunities... Opportunities that otherwise might not have been possible for those who attended.

Believe me when I say, "You HAD To Be There!"

John,

This post of yours has satisfied my MTV Cribs jones for the week. I am just disappointed that, in MTV Cribs fashion, you didn't show the room "Where all the magic happens."

Plus, we could have used a shot of what's in the fridge right now. I have a bet with Paul Myers what kind of beer is in your ice box. Please don't let Paul win. Go out and buy some Guinness before you take a pic of the fridge - I'll make it worth your while!

John,
What can I say?

From 3 awe inspiring days, to clapping until my hands nearly fell off. Followed up by the only closing at a marketing conference that brought tears to my eyes..

You truly are amazing. A gifted speaker, A kind heart and knowledgable beyond belief.

As someone who ALSO LIVES IN A PINK, PINK PLACE...
(see www.chaletsuzanne.com )

I can truly appreciate it. Sweet house man!

Talk Soon,

~Eric

I understand how to search out via Overture.com to find highly clicked words so one can see which ones offer potential buyers; i.e., model railroad, rc model airplane, fly fishing, parent. Now what is the next step to discover what those interested parties WANT? Do I monitor lists? Google and start visiting sites? There must be a plan to utilize time and get good information. Thank you for your help.
Joan

Hi guys,

John - Your house is nice, it has everything I aim to get for myself (especially space). I also do video production and have a separate pc for it (I've also helped out Peter Twist with the audio and video recording at a UK Internet Marketing Seminar -Hi Andre ;)
It's good to see what you've got and be inspired to create the same for ourselves. I'm recently divorced and now seeing the world with new eyes and I'm really excited about the future. I hope to meet you at some point and share some vibes.

Donna - Being in debt is not the end of the world. Your perception of, and use of your current situation may be the very thing that bring you a successful future.
I appreciate how naive that can sound to someone who bares the huge weight of large financial debt (I currrently have around $50,000 of debt which is soley down to credit cards and a loan - for which I have nothing to show now, so I really do know what you're going through)
The thing to do is look at it this way - there's good debt and bad debt, I don't know where your debt comes from so I can't tell what your position is. Good debt is debt that other people pay (like when you take out a mortgage to buy a property, but then let it out and get an income from it - the tenants are paying your debt), Bad debt is the kind that you have to get out of bed and go to work to pay (like the debt I have), if you don't pay - it doesn't get paid.
The thing that dawned on me was that if I wanted to borrow money to buy a house that I intended to 'let out' and I had a management company ensure that they could get tenants in - I would be able to borrow that money. You need to think in a different way than most people and not feel like all debt is bad (this will ultimately end up in you never creating true wealth as you'll always be afraid to invest) but that you can use other peoples money (like the bank) to buy assets that increase in value or bring in revenue. This way you can go out and create extra income (in the same way that lots of us make money from our online businesses, when they're automated we have a passive income to use to build our other revenue streams). I'd like to get rid of my debt but I don't lose sleep over it as I accepted it as the price to pay for other things I wanted (like the fact that I let my ex-wife have all the money from our house because she has less earning capacity than me, I accepted the debt that I'd end up with but it's just a factor in my current life and will disappear over time)

If you're running an online business then at least you're listening to the right people (i.e. John) and if you let the true value of Johns insights into business soak into everything you do, you'll find that things can get better quickly and easily.

John - thanks again for taking the time to post your pictures, I'd been picturing the sort of property I'd like to live in and you've gone and shown me it for real.

Keep up your excellent work.

Andy H

I could have gone to your seminar, since it was in Orlando and I could have borrowed the money. But I had decided to end my proclivity to believe every sales pitch and buy every make-money-at-home offer. I stopped just too soon. But now I have subscribed to your Newsletter, read your website, ordered the how-to CD and hope to find some time to focus on your methods. I will soon be 80, so it's about time to start getting it right. I am delighted to find out about you and how you operate. My family is my wife, 2 Yorkshire Terriers and 2 cats -- no one else. I am a WW II Navy veteran and a retired Army bandleader. For the sake of our country, I want vast sums of money to support schools that still have God and the Bible in them. (I would also like a larger house. My wife likes to paint and to sew and there seems to be a contest as to whose space is the most cluttered.) I think you are going to be an enabler to help fulfill these dreams. Warren Bridges, President, Aloes International, Inc. Orlando

Hi Warren. Thank you for your service to our country. Without people like you the opportunity this country offers us wouldn't exist. I hope you start making tons of money soon. God bless you.
Warmly,
Joe Donnalley

Wow! That's great! Maybe the good environment gave you more great ideas in your work, hope you success!
