Latest Newsletter Issue...
I've just published my latest newsletter issue and it's a WHOPPER. :-)
Please use the "comments" section of this blog entry to discuss what you got out of the issue.

Comments
John, when I received your email, it was close to midnight. I was up for an hour, reading and re-reading this issue!
The insights were awesome. Thanks for sharing them. The need for focus hit me particularly powerfully, as I'm probably spread as thin as I've ever been before, working on SEVEN different things at once!
There's also a LOT I learned - about promoting a product, pre-launch ;-)
One question - Can I distribute this issue to my list? I'm sure many will find it extremely useful.
Thanks

Hey John,
Fantastic issue. The brain dump info will help me clear a lot of hurdles, and get rockin'. This will definitely turn the marketing world upside down. Great job!

John,
What an amazing issue - loaded with things I knew, things I didn't know, things I've applied, and things I haven't. I just finished expanding a consistent moneymaker before recieving this issue, only to find you not only talking about maximizing moneymakers that are already profitable, but turning them into BUSINESSES, not just moneymakers.
That one idea alone was profound, and it's why I'll be one of the first to pony up for Traffic Secrets....though at that price, I *am* hoping to get more then one new idea from it. ;-)
I'd write more, but I need to go get my legal tissue paper and take a brain dump now...

John... as always you rock.
You always deliver with tactics and strategies, but for those who weren't at the event I have some advice...
BUY THE COURSE!
Don't think about it. DON'T.
Secondly, when you watch the DVDs, look for John's mindset.
That is where the MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR strategies are held. Look beyond just what's being thought. John is a marketing genius.

John,
This is awesome!
Thank you very much!
It was written as if especially for me.
By the way, you know, you can find interesting explanations to your techniques in this book I'm fond of now:
http://www.themillionairemind.net
This is an amazing and very unusual book, I never thought I would encounter such kind of a book. And from what you've just said - you're going to get from it really a lot.
Thanks again for your newsletter! I saved it and I'm going to read it again and use it.
Olga.

WOW!
Why is it that things that are so simple are so profound? I can't wait to do this exercise (just have a deadline to knock out then it's just me and those legal pads).
Please have children. Your DNA shouldn't go to waste. ;o)

Andy, Mike, and Matt -- glad you liked it!
Olga -- thanks for the kind words. I'll check out that book!
Lo -- hahahaha. That made me laugh. ;-)

Was glued to your 17 pages with non stop reading. Every inch is laced with pure genuis, guidance and direction that speaks volumes of truth that will make some angry, most happy and the few who act accordingly... RICH!
As always Brother, you've got the edge... you keep the edge, heck... YOU ARE THE EDGE!

People should realize what niche marketing is about :)

Doink!
That's John's tack hammer hitting me in my head again. John's seminar changed my life and every time I lose my focus in my business, I pull out the audio from the event to get back on track.
The problem (lol) with John is he stirs so many excellent freaking ideas in my head that I go nuts.
I believe the "brain dump" is just the cure for this ailment. I now know what Priority 1.0 is on my list Monday.
Thanks John - Still on my way from "money maker" to "business maker". Thanks for sharing the wealth so richly this year!
P.S. - Speaking of books, if any of you haven't done so lately, pull out your copy of Claude Hopkins' "Scientific Advertising" and see that John is perfecting some of the age-old techniques and taking them to the nth degree. Keep Focused!

John,
As usual, you're at the front of the pack ! You are the lead dog....and your view never changes !
If we mere mortals can just try to get our lessons done before the teacher gives us more homework, we might be on our way.
This will be printed out and will be the wallpaper in our office !

Thank you for your excellent newsletter!
I love the saying.. "I don't believe in creating moneymakers. I believe in creating businesses." That's very true if you want to have REAL success online.
Your "Traffic Secrets" package is on my legal pad as one of the "must have" items. I'm really looking forward to studying and applying the ideas from your new course to my business (and watching my profits grow)!

Hello John,
Just wondering where do I find the archive of this WHOPPER issue? I just signed up for your newsletter and cannot seem to find that one. Maybe someone else can give me a link to it?
Also, anyone who is reading this have any feedback for improvements on my website?

John,
This is definitely the most valuable newsletter I have ever read... and it was FREE!
Thank you!
The video clip from your seminar was awesome. It gave me an idea about Google Adwords that should help my profitability go up. I'm eagerly awaiting Traffic Secrets!!!
Question: What do you recommend for a single opt-in autoresponder? (i.e. what do you guru's use?) I currently have access to a sucky double-opt-in AR that isn't the answer. I don't even bother using it, so I'm throwing money down the drain until I find a good one.
Thanks much,
Joe

John, what a newsletter! And it was free. I can only imagine what you give for paid stuff.I have kicked my butt quite a few times that I was unable to attend your seminar. I am on the advance list for your course. No way will I miss that.
Thanks, John, for your willingness to share.

Hi once again,
For the advice on "Scientific Advertising" - Ken McCarthy once recommended another book by Claude Hopkins, and I saw his point when I read the book:
it's "My Life in Advertising", and it's really what Ken said (in his newsletter here: kensbooks/at/the-system-seminar.com): "an even more powerful book" and "is not only much more entertaining
than "Scientific Advertising," it's also a lot
more instructive."
Best,
Olga.

Hi John,
I loved your newsletter issue. I liked your way of teaching methods that will help us in the long run too.
It's interesting how you're able to blend marketing and personal development so smoothly.
I was planning to go on a vacation to the beaches in the middle-east within 3 weeks, but now with your guide coming out, I don't know if I should :)
Keep up the wisdom.

Hi John
This must be the best newsletter that I've seen in a long time.
There's so much to learn from it and its free :-)
The part on the brain dump was, I thought, fantastic not just from a marketing perspective but even from a life perspective. I know I need to do that as I have so many things on my mind at any given time that I am constantly losing track of things.
Many thanks for the excellent newsletter and keep them coming.

Hi John,
I received your newsletter Saturday morning at 3.59am Australian time.
I read it on the computer about 8am.
After printing it out I read it again during
breakfast.
My wife and I left thereafter to do our
weekly shopping.
I took the print-out with me.
I gave it to my wife to read during lunch in the park after shopping.
I took it back from my wife after she finished reading it.
I have read it about 3 more times since then and underlined productive words and verbs and ticked off appropriate paragraphs.
I'm doing the Brain Dump tonight and will finish it tomorrow.
John, you are very economical with your words.
Not a word was wasted.
.... it is a important document !
Thank you very very much,
Eugene

John "Mr Marketer" Reese
It's funny how things pan-out in this internet marketing business.
3 years I have been learning this stuff, never made any real money, but have just kept learning and buying more and more courses.
And in all that time online, up until I became a subscriber to your newsletter... I must have come across your name 2 or 3 times and thought nothing of it.
I say this because I was listening to so called "guru's" all that time, buying their info products and never really getting anywhere.
It felt like being in a pond with thousands of other similar individuals... being fed the crumbs of what these guy's didn't really want you to know.
To be honest with you. I think 99% of them actually make this look much harder than it already is.
Wether they do this on purpose or are just plain clueless about the whole concept... who's to know... I dont care anymore!
Like I have my mentors to study in the field of copywriting.... When ever I want to know anything about marketing my future websites, or clients websites, there is only a handful of guy's I now listen to.
You are top of the tree for me, and your knowledge of marketing makes a lot of sense to me... simply because of my knowledge of all the misleading crap out there that I USED to buy!
Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with us all. Your on my Christmas list for life :)
Looking forward to the new course.
Andy
P.S The "Brain Dump" idea is just the perfect tonic. I am one of those guy's who does try and work everything out in his head... I see the light now :)

John,
For students of this new course, are you going to set up a "Members Only Area" similar to the one you set up for your Auctions course so that we can stay "up to date" with your latest discoveries/techniques/changes/updates as they become available?
I think that would be a great benefit for all of us purchasing this course.
Thanks.

Hi John,
Great newsletter. I cannot remmeber how I came across your name, but I'm glad I did now. Dr Mani, Mr Pierce, I'm sure we'll be discussing this in our forum!
Before I forget, how much does your DNA cost John?
or better still can I secure the rights to it?

Hi John,
Incredible!
Once again you tell it like it is even though it's contrary to the typical lazy thinking marketing strategies being peddled.

Sincerly,

I heard about your newsletter just today. I read it with great interest and understood 85% of what you were saying, but the first criteria about the cost of 6-7 cents per word etc. didn't make a lot of sense to me. Your sentence, ..."thea cheaper you acquire leads the much weaker you site can convert visitors into sales and still make a profit." I *think* I understand this but the sentence structure has left me confused. Do you mean that the lower the CPP for a new lead the better off you will be because the cost to acquire then (hopefully) convert that lead to a real sale is lower? Where do you get the figure of 6-7 cents per lead? Where did that come from?
Then you tie that into needing lots of affiliates with sites directed towards the same target group as yourself and working together with them to generate traffic to your site. Once again, this is quite basic....some I'm still looking for the pony in the room somewhere. I am not a rookie and I know marketing. I'm trying to follow the logic and proof of why certain things are so. It is only "criteria #1" that gives me a giant pain.
Can you explain this in different words, with, perhaps a for instance or two?
Thanks,
R.

To all those who saw the video, let me just tell you that short clip did not do the seminar justice.
When everyone stood and gave John an ovation, it wasn't being polite. Man, it went on and on.
Dozens and dozens of people stood up and spoke from the heart. We ran out of time because John wanted to cover so much.
I've implemented only a small amount of what John taught and my business has steadily increased.
Each week, I add another piece to the chain.
Do not miss traffic secrets.
Whatever John says, from someone who was there,
it is an Understatement.
Get this set.

John,
That is the better newsletter I've read in a long time. The fact that I'd already heard about it from Stephen Pierce before I even got your email is testiment to what top reading it is.
You've always had great energy and style and this newsletter represents why you are so respected.
Thanks for taking the time to put it together, I know it's going to help a lot of people.

So much good information. Some things was *completely new* to me and some things I had kind of figured out the "hard way" after some years on the internet with trying to look behind the "guru".
Glad to see that John really knows
what he are talking about.
Thanks to Mr. Pierce for pointing me
to what looks to me like best mind
in the internet marketing world(before
I knew John from FrankK:s newsletter but
I didnt knew he had a newsletter himself).
No doubt about it anymore,

John:
Such a genius! I already have some real "businesses" - offline consulting, etc., but I'm trying to make them moneymakers too by taking them online and finding my niche prospects. I look forward to your new product!

When you stated at the top of the newsletter that this was "the most powerful newsletter issue I have ever written" you weren't kidding. I've tried to tell my neighbor that I am not like him, trying to make it rich with one get-rich-quick site, I'm trying to build a business. You have shown me that I was right. I loved the legal pad exercise!! It really got me back on track. Thank you!

In your upcoming course will you be directing us beginners at which you actually start from. i.e. do you have to have created a website first, have it up and running and then apply your techniques or is the website part of the creation and then applying the techniques? As a beginner I feel that this is a large investment, but willing to take the plunge and create a successful online business. As you can see I am a bit confused as to how early one should go to this next level. What do I need to do first? I am very impressed with your 7/30 newsletter and feel that perhaps after all the $100's I have spent that perhaps yours would be the one that really offered what it said that it would. I am tired of paying for strategies that are not proven and are basically lied about just to get the sale. I certainly can see the angle that you are encouraging...just need to know if this is basic to success, so that I do not waste another $1000. I would like very much to hear from you in regards to this. I am excited to sign up for your "Traffic Secrets". Thanks for your assistance. LesLee :)
Posted by: LesLee Solberg | August 8, 2004 05:18 PM
Your "traffic secret" is priced at $1k. How can I justify myself to spend $1k on your training materials versus spending it on search engine optimization work?
Thanks,
Steven
Posted by: Steven | August 10, 2004 05:31 PM
"Why $1k on John's course versus $1k on SEO?" You ask?
Because algorithms change all the time. SEO will bring you spurts of traffic. Often, untargeted traffic at best -- or at least unqualified. Ultimately, you would have to pay SEO again and again just to keep up.
From personal experience, I know John teaches strategies you can use over and over again for that same one-time fee. (I experienced it myself.) And you still get continuous streams of prospects for that one-time fee.
Look at it this way: would you prefer fishing in an ocean with the best fishing tackle meant for the wrong fish?
OR would you rather be given maps to countless small ponds overflowing with tons of fish for which your tackle was meant for?
Posted by: Michel Fortin | August 10, 2004 10:01 PM
Yeah, I agree with Michel. Steven, I don't know how much you know about John, but if you knew him like a lot of us do, or if you had attended his amazing seminar back in March, you would DEFINITELY feel that choosing his course over paying $1K for SEO work right now is a no-brainer. Just trust me. Good luck!

Hi John,
This is Nathan from India. Yesterday, i attended the telecon you had with Jim. Wow! Both of you were amazing. A few casual sentences made by you made me think and set off my creative wheels :). I could not sleep properly at night. I am not sure about others, but for me, you have opened a great new world in front of me, one i had never thought of. Thanks for your amazing presentation.
Keep up the great work :)

The real genius here is that the newsletter was the longest sales letter I have read in a long while.
The moral of the story:
Long copy outsells short copy. Especially when the product you are trying to flog costs a grand!

I noticed that Ablake will be promoting

program attached to it? Or are you only working
with select partners for now?
Thanks.

For those who have mentioned spending $100s
on other marketing courses and wondering if
they should take the plunge on this one.
When I decided to spend $4,500 to attend
John's workshop, it was a split-second
decision. When I first met John I was lucky
enough to catch him out in the Atrium tables
of a hotel during a break for one of the
marketing seminars.
John taught me more of value in one hour of
just hanging around him there than I learned
at the seminar (and it was a great seminar) or
from the thousands I had already spent on
Marketing courses.
For most of you, this is probably your one
great chance to learn how to create exponential
amounts of income online. You really WILL learn
things in this course that you will NOT find
in any of the other courses out there (I should
know - i own just about ALL of them).

The brain dump exercise mentioned in the newsletter is very valuable. It is highly recommended.
If you have a chance to read it, you will benefit if you put it in practice. At the very least, you will find that after you have dumped everything onto the note pad, you will think more clearly.
