Happy New (Profitable) Year!
It's 2005. Wow. Here we are starting a brand new year. It's time to start a new year and a new chapter for your business.
Here are some things you should keep in mind in 2005:
1. If you are already successfully selling your own product, you must create new things to sell to those that have already purchased from you.
2. Make a list of all the tasks and things you do on a monthly basis. Make a note of all the ones that someone else could actually do for you. Start by paying someone to do the things that take up most of your time -- allowing you to use the most free time to make more money in your business (and more than pay for that person doing the work.)
3. If you have an ebook, create a higher priced physical version of your product.
4. Set aside time every month to create new content for your site(s). From blog entries to articles to special reports. These pieces of content will bring you more search engine and referral traffic, more target prospects, and ultimately, more sales. Content is king and it's also a magnet for more sales.
5. Work on improving your mini course or autoresponder series to provide the best possible content you can. If you sell an infoproduct, actually giveaway bits and pieces of your product in your free email series. If your content is good, more people will end up buying the actual product.
6. Spend more time away from your computer. Don't waste so much time caught up with the checking-email-looking-at-stats-reading-news cycle. It's a waste of your valuable time that you could be using to generate more income.
7. Setup at least one new web site per month. This site can just be a new content "funnel" to generate leads for your main site. Find a new "angle" or alternative group of keywords that relate to your target prospect.
8. Start using the PHONE to build relationships with others in your market.
9. Test some new advertising sources each month. Invest a little bit of money in a place you've never tried before. Finding new profitable sources of leads will grow your overall sales on a regular basis.
10. Set your goals for 2005 to be twice as much as you originally planned. So what if you only accomplish 50% of it. That's still the entire goal you originally had planned. :-)

There's a reason why John Reese is *my* guru. In fact, John just gave me 10 reasons in this entry.
Much prosperity to you, John, in 2005. And to all.

Thanks for the great tips John. I'll be checking the mailbox every morning looking for the Reese Letter - with the quality of information you give away for free I should be able to make at least 100K this year from the monthly letter.

John,

I too cannot wait for your "ReeseReport"

Add one more... "visiting forums and wasting time reading rants and arguments" very counter-productive time wasters.
Well, you see John, I am one of the guilty ones ;p

MAN!
... I'm guilty of the former, AND the latter!
Heck, if I cut back on both of those, I might actually get some work done ..;)
Thanks,

Bang on target, John.
"checking-email-looking-at-stats-reading-news cycle" was my biggest time-waster in 2004. Not anymore.
Off to check stats ;)

John,
you have a very nice carpet, but as a background for the picture I would recommend using only one colour (;-)
Thank you for sharing. I will reduce my time reading news, but will continue reading this blog!

why? how do ? I do not know what to do .

I have seen those auctions on eBay. You can tell it's just some hack trying to get some attention by ripping off other peoples hard work.

Price I paid for John's Traffic Secrets course:
$997
What John's course has returned for me in profits in 1 month:
$8,993
Having the ability to pop in a C.D. and see John's incredibly useful and life-changing advice in action:
Priceless.
John, thank you for what you do.

As usual, you've given away way too much information. It's people like you that make me realize that after 13 years of marketing, I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for keeping me grounded and enhancing my brain cells.

Great content - a lot of people would do no better than read your blog and buy your products!

Your "Millionday report" is very touching! I have recently gained back my right frame of mind to be able to absorb what is written. Its a miracle that in spite of the bad weather conditions you reaped so much. Keep going and trusting!
