More Yahoo 'AdSense Clone' News

News.com recently reported more information about Yahoo entering Google's AdSense territory.

Check out the story here.

Yahoo is already building an opt-in notification list for publishers that are interested in their "upcoming programs." Get on the list NOW to be notified when Yahoo rolls out their own AdSense-like program.

Wow, an opt-in notification list. I wonder if Yahoo watched the Traffic Secrets roll-out. ;-)

One of the best things about this new 'Yahoo Adsense' program (I hope) is that some publishers' earnings *may* be higher than what they currently get from Google Adsense... considering Google Adwords minimum cost is 5 cents and Overture is 10 cents. That's especially true for niches that have low adwords prices to begin with vs. something like sites featuring ads for "mortgage" or "lawyers" etc.

And I hope Yahoo also offers a larger percentage of the ad cost than Google does now... and that's a distinct possibility (imo) since they'll want to draw current Adsense publishers into the Yahoo fold.

However if they do offer a higher percentage, it'll likely only be temporary...

Thanks for the 'heads up'! I can hardly wait! :)

John,
Of course they watched your rollout. I've heard rumors that Bill Gates was taking notes too :-)

John:

You 'da man...So when we need to know, we come to you.

Someone is starting a rumor that yahoo.com will be giving lower points in their algorithm for sites that display adsense.

This sounds a little 'high school' to me. Could it possibly be?
