It’s Time To Reboot Your Brain!

Click the video image above to CHANGE YOUR LIFE TODAY!

I’m completely serious.  Clicking the above image will open a new browser window with the actual video.  You might have to wait a few moments for it to start playing.

Please try again later if it loads too slow due to too many people on the server..

The ‘method’ you will discover in this video is something that I have created and fine-tuned during the past 10+ years of my life.  It took me from a depressed (and nearly suicidal) 23 year old that was in over $108,000 of debt to a self-made multi-millionaire.

And, no, my success didn’t happen overnight (it took a few short years) but my life did change INSTANTLY after making this discovery.

I continue to use this ‘method’ on a regular basis to build more wealth and have a happier life — with things that have nothing to do with money.

And Here’s The Guilty One!

In the last few minutes of the video you’ll hear a slight interruption. :)

She’s a feisty little chihuahua and her name is “LuLu.”  Her tiny sidekick in this photo is her sister “Lucy” my other dog.  They are actually sisters from the same litter.  Lucy was the runt and she’s very tiny.  They are great dogs and I really enjoy having them.

I Am Making A Big Challenge To You!

Watch the entire video.  Yes, I know it’s a bit long, but it’s well worth it, I promise.  Then go and immediately do the exact ‘Method’ that I detail in the video.  Do all 8 steps.

I personally guarantee your life will never be the same.  You’ll experience some major breakthroughs and discoveries and will probably living quite a bit differently.  Again, just DO IT and try to prove me wrong.

After you’ve done it…PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS!

All I can say is WOW. This is truly amazing.

I can’t wait to do this! I am going to go do this right now!

As always, thanks John! :)

2. Matt Says:

John,

Cute Chihuahuas! Do you feed them Royal Canin’s Chihuahua dog food?
If so, or you’d consider it, please email me at matt (AT) mattgordon.com.

I can honestly say it’s the best stuff out there for them.

Here’s a link to the food:

Interesting.

Most of the info I’ve already found elsewhere, but your unique way of presenting it makes this a great inspirational video.

Good stuff.

4. Joe Barton Says:

John,

This video is AWESOME!!

I remember you presented something like this in a July newsletter a couple years ago - called the “Brain Dump” method - and I put it to use.

Within a month of doing my first “brain dump”, my life changed dramatically. My business took off like crazy… to the point I was able to quit my job (as a CPA) because I was making three times more in my internet business than I was as a CPA. (I quit my job for good 6 months after doing my first brain dump… amazing).

I like the new components you’ve added to this video - it’s like the Brain Dump on Steroids! (Legal ‘roids, of course).

I’m excited to add these new elements to my regular habit of the brain dump!

Thanks for doing this, John!!

Joe

5. Gaston Collins Says:

I spend a lot of time on the web, which tends to clutter my brain a litle. I need a good rebooting every now and then. Thanks for the great video!

6. Steve Majors - The Lazy Investor Says:

John,

Thanks for putting this tremendous video together!

The method you used is one I’ve implemented myself over the years, yet you have put it into ‘form’.

IT WORKS - that is for sure!

Using my ‘trial and error’ method similar to yours changed my life from an 8-5, work for someone else employee to having my own business and now teaching others about real estate investing through methods further defined utilizing this same system.

We discuss Lifestyle, Activities you enjoy, Zero stress and You being in charge (the L.A.Z.Y. method…), but your video brings it all together in a smooth fashion that I will recommend to my entire list.

Thanks for all your guidance and mentoring.

Happy Investing,

7. John Reese Says:

Thanks for your comments, everyone!

Joe — you’re right. That original “Brain Dump” article ended up as the PDF that my Traffic Secrets affiliates branded and gave to their lists. So many have heard me discuss it before… but as you’ve noticed it’s been fine-tuned a bit. I love it. It’s really helped me have the life I want. Great to hear about you changing YOUR life! Keep up the great work.

Steve — that’s so awesome to hear about the changes in your life as well! And thanks for any recommendation. And, of course, you’re very welcome for everything. Thank YOU. :)

8. Nick The Geek Says:

Hey John

Thanks for making the video available …

It’s running very slow at the moment due to your server taking a pummeling …

If you’d like, send me the contents in a zipfile to the email address I used for this post and I’ll set up a mirror on a public server so that people can download it without sucking up your server’s resources …

Cheers

Nick :o )

9. Joshua Uebergang Says:

Thanks a lot John.

Not only is the video great but your situation when you were younger is a real motivator.

I was going to work on an assignment but saw your email and thought I’d check out the video and use it as another excuse to procrastinate ;) so thanks for that. It definitely was worth it and I’ll be doing the exercise tomorrow. Night!

10. Kristen Bilotta Says:

Hi John,

Thank you for this video. I have heard about your “brain dump” method in the past and have tried it and found it to be a major stress reducer! I’ll have to try this updated version tonight!

I must say…what an inspirational story you have!

One thing I was happy to see you address in your video was that there are all kinds of thoughts floating about in your head that can hold you back from acheiving the life you want and taking action because of your fears.

That is so true and those “negative thoughts” can really be damaging to our confidence and can stop us from moving forward in life completely.

The website below goes to a free 36 minute video my father did on how to overcome those negative feelings in 60 seconds. I thought it might complement your video so I wanted to share it. :-)

Thanks again for the video John!

11. Gary Gresham Says:

John,

I have found everything I do in life happens only if I believe it can happen. The only way that is possible is to install the correct thoughts to allow me to achieve the insane goals I set for myself. If you are don’t have the correct control of your brain your thoughts simply will not allow success to happen.

Sometimes you just need to get all of that negative data out so you have room to fill your thoughts with positive data that will make a huge difference in everything you do.

That’s why rebooting your brain really works and is such a necessary beginning step for any successful person. Once you program your brain this way, it will automatically take over and your success will be automatic.

I first did this exercise when you called it the Brain Dump. I almost completely filled the first legal pad taking two weeks because I dug deep into what was holding me back in my life. Once I started, the thoughts continually flowed and I was completely shocked.

Once you see on paper how many fears you actually have, it gives you the power to eliminate them one by one. I also find by writing down exactly what I want, it somehow is so much more powerful than just thinking about it. I don’t understand why, but I do know it works so I will continue to do this.

Being successful is not an accident, and by rebooting your brain, you have a roadmap to remove any obstacles holding you back and put your success on autopilot.

12. Andrew G. Says:

Awesome!

Although familiar with the principles through personal and business coaching, I have never found a practical method as powerful as ‘Rebooting Your Brain’.

For that, I am sure many of us will be thanking you.

For me, the timing is excellent because, sadly, even coaches can go through tough times and the expression ‘physician heal thyself’ comes to mind.

On a lighter note for anyone who likes to be creative, imagine the wonderful scrapbook that could be developed and enlarged over time with photos of old and new whether its cars, houses, the old you and the new you, snippets taken from each pad e.g. major to do’s accomplished, fears overcome, desires actually realized. A lasting image of the journey taken and the amazing results achieved.

13. Chris Says:

So many truisms in the video John, perhaps the greatest being to write everything down to clear your brain, no matter how clever you are, or think you are. ‘Brain Clutter’ - where you’re constantly rethinking, mentally re-organising, modelling and prioritising is probably THE greatest single time waster there is. I write a lot and still fail to do it every day.

One of my sons is pretty dyslexic and was trained early on to write out a daily To Do list for everything so that he didn’t have to keep thinking about it and he is now stunningly efficient, just from that one thing. I remain stunningly innefficient because I keep forgetting to do the To Do list…

What you call a Brain Reboot my wife and I have called Defragging for many years now, where you bring all the thought fragments together into meaningful whole parts and then orderly prioritise them. It really, really does work as you describe, but only if you actually DO it, and properly, not half-arsed.

As one of the very few people who’s emails I always open, well done for showing everyone this John - it will transform lives a lot more than all the usual internet marketing guru clutter we all see filling our Inboxes now.

14. Jonas Jonsson Says:

John, from the bottom of my heart - Thank you for creating this video.

I’m 21 years old and recently dropped out of college (mainly because I felt there’s no real money to be made by getting a j-o-b), so I can really relate to your situation at 23. I’m not in as much debt as you were, but I still have some days where all I can think about is if I did the right thing.

I watched a movie called “The Secret” a couple of months ago and that really sparked something inside of me. I didn’t exactly understand how to use it, but this 8-step method will absolutely take me in the right direction. I will definitely do a “brain reboot” every 30 days.

15. John Reese Says:

Nick, Joshua, Kristen, Gary, Andrew, Chris, and Jonas: Thanks so much for sharing your personal stories and your feedback! Amazing stuff.

And Kristen: thanks for sharing that video!

It’s funny… for years and years are thought “self improvement” type stuff was such MUMBO JUMBO. But that’s because I never really realized how POWERFUL it was.

16. Timmy Says:

Thank you for the video…and hope. Lot’s of “stuff” in my life, just didn’t realize how much. I think this will help clear out some of the baggage so I can concentrate on what really matters. Blessings on you my friend!

17. Mike Long Says:

John,

I’ve been using your ‘brain dump’ system for YEARS with great success…but for whatever reason, recently I’d stopped…

Well recently, while making some critical business moves I was getting some advice from a pretty smart famous dude who asked if I had heard of your ‘brain dump’ method.

DUH! I thought! My brain was totally cluttered and shutting down from having too much *STUFF* floating around.

I started using your system again and *bam* back to good. :-) Success all around.

Thanks for this new video expanding on the method I learned from your newsletter. Now I’ll be able to share it with my friends:-)

Talk Soon,

Mike

18. John Says:

Thanks for a great video. It’s very similar to the “Getting Things Done” system by David Allen which I’ve been using for a couple of years now. I’ve let it slide over the last couple of months though and this was just the kick in the pants I needed :-)

19. Colin Says:

Hey John, we exchanged email a couples of times, and I heard about your brain dump method from traffic secrets! I did it once, it was amazing. Since then I never repeated it again. Always meant to d it, though I know how amazing it was after I had done it, but I always found (note Past Tense!) excuses not to do it. (maybe I am fear of being successful?), but watching this video again, make me do it now!

Thanks, man!

20. Joseph Ratliff Says:

21. Palyn Peterson Says:

Mr. Reese,

I’m going to take a day off work and perform this exercise. I honestly believe it will take all day — and lots of pacing.

The second best part is, and I hope you don’t mind me saying this, how incredibly *regular* you are.

You’re not on a pedestal, you’re simply on a higher floor. The kicker is, you’ve been pointing out the elevator to all of us for a long time.

Honestly man, up until now, all of your “secrets” have come across like a mysterious voice in the sky. You are where so many of us want to be, but we have too much mental baggage to truly believe we can get there too — thus you have become “guru-ized.”

You’re just a guy, man. A regular guy helping out other regular people with honesty and integrity. That’s probably the best compliment I could ever pay you.

I’ll see you at the top.

L8r,
Palyn

23. Rusty Kaohelaulii Says:

Aloha John,

First I want to congratulate you on your past recovery. I’ve been there myself, in fact, one of THEE most hard times of my life is when everything come crushing down with nobody in view to call out to, but thanks to a friend named Jesus, I survived.

I watched your video and loved everything about it. I’m taking your advice and be back with results soon.

It’s tough trying to figure out who’s truly real online when all you got is text to go by but after this video I know I’ve found a true friend. And what I really like about you is that its not all about money but life itself. I’m tired about listening how to make money or even what program works anymore because I’ve been through thousands and made a few hundreds. But I believe after putting your advice to work I’m sure I’ll succeed.

Thanks again or as we say in Hawaii, “Mahalo nui loa my bruddah!”

Rusty K.

24. Allen Collis Says:

John,

I couldn’t have said it better myself, but what Payln Peterson just said in his post is the greatest compliment ‘anyone’ could ever pay you. Thank you for being just a regular person helping out your fellow man, and I want to really thank you for this video. I will put it’s contents to work for me this evening. Keep up the good work John, and thank you again.

Allen

25. Bob Says:

John,
Thanks for sharing this video! Well worth everyones time to take an hour out of your day and listen to John on this video. Some stuff I have done before but one key point was to do it every month! I found while listening to your video, when moving fears to a to do list with a solution, it released stress which resulted in me “feeling” better. “Feeling better” is a key to manifesting what we want. I believe if we can put ourselves in “feeling” good and visualize and stay in the moment then we can achieve a happier life with our dreams happening. Life goes by too fast so your point on action now referring to Trey is a point well taken, along with not sweeping our crap under the rug. We tend to get off track on the “treadmill of life” so taking time out to do these exercises is critical to stay on focus by eliminating fears and feeling better about ourselves. Thanks for sharing what worked in your life to achieve your success! Bic

26. "Old Nikko" Says:

As we all know (or should know) John, attaining that first small measure, then improving upon our self-confidence is what controls a very large part of what we can and do achieve in all aspects of lives… We are truly what we think about most… and if we can do that with a clear, clutter-free mind, so much the better. Henry Ford tells us — If you think you can, you are probably right, and if you think you can’t, you are right there too.

For most humans, fear of the unknown is probably the worst thing a man can have working hard, day and night against him…

Looking your worst fears right in the eye, and really seeing them for what they are, is the first step in conquering them. As Sun Tsu has said — knowing your enemy well is to have the battle half-won before it is ever engaged. By knowing your fears well, they are then more easily defeated.

(Sorry for the inaccurate wording of the quotes, but they get the general ideas across, regardless.)

Hands down, what you have shown to us is the clearest way to establish a basic groundwork for, and help us to make those needed confidence improvements within ourselves. From there, all other good things can happen.

Thank you for the showing us the easiest, and most easily understood method… this is definitely something that I will teach my sons and grandsons (I don’t have any daughters or grand-daughters, so don’t think I’m intentionally ‘dissing’ the female please).

Thanks again John! …and keep on giving. From giving freely, all things are returned. One must first sow, before you can reap. You have sown well my friend.

27. Dee-Dee MacLeod-Wilson (NZ) Says:

Hiya John from little ol’ New Zealand.

I am a relatively new subscriber since June 2006 and probably would not have been if it wasn’t for the interveiw Jim Edwards did with you.

Your Brain Reboot Exercise is exactly what I need right now as I venture into the internet home business arena. (My website is under construction.)

I have so much “stuff” clogging my mental “RAM” that my system busy icon is spinning like a fan and has frozen all my systems! (LOL- I like to use analogies too)

Just the thought of doing the Brain Reboot has been liberating and lifted a load off my mind.

I am definitely going to incorporate your “brain dump” system into my life and business.

I can’t thank you enough!

Warm Regards

Dee :-)

29. Kevin Says:

What can I say? Another great video from you with loads of useful information. Thanks again!

30. John Reese Says:

Timmy, glad to hear it!

Mike, Thanks for sharing that. It’s really easy to do the method once, get an amazing result, then for some reason slip back into the old way of living.

John, yes, you need to get back to work! I am familiar with some of his methods; such as figuring out which things on the list to do, delegate, or delay (or defer). Great tactics!

Joseph, thanks for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Palyn, I sincerely appreciate the compliment. That means a lot to me. The fact of the matter is, I *am* just a ‘regular’ person… but what’s funny is, so is EVERYONE. We’re all EQUALS on this earth. No one is truly special of ‘chosen.’ It just comes down to which regular person wants to live an extraordinary life and is willing to put in the work to create it. Please come back and post after you do the method! Sounds like you’ll really benefit from it. Don’t be bothered by how long you think it might take; or how long it takes. I did the method one time and probably spent 8-10 hours total dumping my brain and going back to add more things again and again. Just wait and see how you feel when you’re completely finished!

Frank, I have not read that book, but will order a copy! The UPS guy always scratches his head because he delivers an Amazon.com package to my house almost daily. You gotta love one-click shopping. :)

Rusty, I know your friend very well myself. :) Rusty, I think the big difference with what you’re frustrated with is just a lack of solid business information. Too many people fal into the trap of chasing “moneymaking” plans instead of taking action to BUILD A BUSINESS. There’s a massive difference in having something that’s a moneymaker and something that’s a business. I’m sure you’ll succeed as well. All it takes is action on a regular basis. That’s the secret.

Allen, thanks for the kind words. All the ‘credit’ goes to my awesome parents. I am the way I am because of them.

Bob, thanks for sharing that great feedback on dealing with your fears! Valuable stuff for sure.

Nick, great wisdom! Thank you for sharing that. And, of course, you’re very welcome.

Dee, glad to hear it! “Information Overload” is something that definitely holds marketers back. It’s always great to continue reading, researching, and learning. But NOTHING is more valuable than consistently plowing ahead and creating results.

Joseph, many thanks!!!

Kevin, you’re very welcome!

31. Casey Says:

Hey John,

Thankyou so much for your video.
I am 23 and am in debt (nowhere near 100grand but for me the amount is substantial) due to trying to build a business.

Going through the exercises, and facing the fear of more debt I have realised its not that bad.

Now that I have a figure to work with, I have been able to work out exactly how many products I have to sell, how much traffic I have to get to make the sales etc

And when broken down like that it really aint so bad :-)

Genuinely,
Casey

32. Lisa Says:

WOW! It’s good stuff John. I agree we need to release what’s in our mind as much as possible and change the way we see & think of things. I even think in my dreams. (Ideas, IM, things to do etc…) What you are talking about is great. Keep up the good work. ;-)

33. Trish Says:

Fantastic info, John! I started out thinking this was similar to Getting Things Done by David Allen, but this was above and beyond that book.

Thank you so much. I am shifting my business over to the Internet and my brain overload is too stressful! I really appreciate the 5 years versus 5 months or even 5 weeks comparison. That is so true! I tend to research up the kazoo and move slowly. Really, I must move quickly, fast, and not second-guess that fast movement even if it terrified me. Oops, must go add that to my fear list. :)

Best regards.

34. Adam Murray Says:

I really got a lot out of this and I plan on getting my notepads and working on this tomorrow! Thanks!

By the way, I love how your thoughts come to you in product headlines, lol.. “How to get a chihuahua to stop barking in 3 minutes or less”, lol.. great stuff.

Regards,
Adam Murray

35. Ray Edwards Says:

John,

I had a similar thought as a previous commenter — that this was a re-hash of David Allen’s mehod. But where David leaves off, you pick up the ball and run with it all the way to the end zone (sorry for the football analogy!).

Great exercise, very useful — and you’re right. You could have made this a product and sold it. Thanks for this!

36. Rob Sellen Says:

John….

Being deaf I could only read the words that come up..

I got the pdf version ages ago when you did that, so understand what you mean with your “brain dump”… but for this whole vid I got around a couple of mins worth of info…the important words etc..but missed everything else..

So could I ask?

Can you just explain in a few words here…what you talk of when you mention..

Fear.. fear of what? Fears I have on whats stopping me?

Desire… desire in what meaning.? What I desire in life?

I am sorry to have to ask.. but I hate missing out! :o (

Thanks again john..

Take care,

Rob.. Carp diem!

37. Maria Madeira Says:

Hi John,

You could not “hit” me so deep, as you did it today!

Last week, I did unsubscribe from your “Reese Report” because every thing I was doing ( of course I could do a lot more ) for the last 2 years, was failure failure and failure.

I was so desperate and depressed, that I just wanted to stop for a while, to figure out the direction I should take, to stop failure.

But if you once a failure, and today you are so great, I feel so little and also in the rigth way.

Thanks With All My Heart
Maria Madeira - “The Angel Of Distance Loving Help”

P.S. John, I did unsubscribe your “Reese Report”, but I more than recommend the “Reese Report” to everybody, it’s a fantastic resource. I didn’t unsusbribe because I was “unhappy” with him ( on the other hand ), it was only because I need some stop time, but I will “follow” you forever. You really over deliver in all you do. keep like that forever.

38. Glen Says:

John,

This ties in quite well with the movie “The Secret” … available at http://www.thesecret.tv/ which I watched one week ago.

Although I am completely certain everyone who completes these 8 steps will transform themselves, I have something to add/share.

1. Be careful how you remind yourself of your fears. The mind cannot hold a negative. Here’s how I prove this. Don’t think of a pink elephant. Stop thinking of a pink elephant. Come on, I said don’t think about a fuzzy pink elephant, 12 feet tall outside your window. Stop thinking about it …

The trouble with the law of attraction is that it is a double edged sword. If you constantly are thinking of your fear of debt for example, quite often all you get is more debt.

To overcome this, reverse what you don’t want and turn it into a desire. For example, if you have $50,000 in debt and it scares the bejeezus out of you, flip it into a desire. I desire to have at least $50,000 to pay back all my creditors.

2. Something that can help accellerate the accomplishment of your desires is a “Dream Board”. Go out and get a cork board that is a good size. Take your top 10 or 15 desires and search the internet or magazines for pictures of each desire. For example, if a luxury cruise is on your list, find a photo of a cruise liner, one that really excites you and cut it out and pin it to your board. Do this will all your top desires and try to cover the board with inspiring images. Place your Dream Board somewhere where you will see it often. Take a digital picture of it and turn that into the background or screen saver on your computer. You can go one step farther and take a couple of dreams and make information binders for each one. Research the dream (cost, sales pages/pamphlets, articles from newspapers or magazines, photos, etc) and fill up the binder. Once a week/day take a few minutes and flip through your binder and really day-dream how it will be like when you have achieved this dream. By constantly reminding your brain of what you want, you are almost certain to take actions to get them.

Again, thanks for sharing this timely and inspiring video with the world!

39. Glen Says:

This is for Rob Sellen.

Here are my notes from watching the video.

John Reese’s Reboot Your Brain

Why You Must Reboot Your Brain
- you have hundreds of thoughts that are stuck in your head .. and you don’t even realize it

- these thoughts add to your stress and anxiety and are keeping you from a better quality of life

- your memory, you ability to make decisions and your PROGRESS are all being held back

What You’ll Need To Do This
- 3 separate legal pads or notebooks
- your favorite pen (lot of writing)
- a quiet place where you will not be distracted or interrupted (perhaps an hour or more)

Let’s Reboot in 8 Steps
1. The “To Do” Expedition
- take one pad and pen, think of all the things in your life that you need to do, everything!
- may include goals and aspirations and regular day to day stuff
- one entry per line
- no excuses or comments, just the to do’s
- keep writing until you cannot think of any more things to do in your life
- work till your brain is exhausted with the thought of adding todos

2. The “Desire” Adventure
- take a break and relax a bit, walk around a bit, deep breaths
- get a fresh new pad (put the first one away)
- write down everything you want to have in your life (what you want different, material things)
- if you could have anything, what would you want
- describe them in great detail
- what would the perfect life look like to you
- anything you have ever dreamed about
- don’t stop until you cannot write any more or think of anything else that you want
- push to the point of exhaustion

3. The “Fear” Discovery
- take a break and relax a bit, walk around a bit, deep breaths
- get a fresh new pad (put the 2nd one away)
- think about all the things you are afraid of in your life
- all the things you are scared of, face your fears
- include phobias both weak and strong
- include insecurities
- don’t stop until you cannot write any more or think of anything else that you are afraid of
- push to the point of exhaustion

4. Read all of your entries, one by one, OUTLOUD - and in the order you wrote them
- take a break and relax a bit, walk around a bit, deep breaths
- very big difference when you include this step
- start with pad one, then two, then three

5. Write down any new thoughts on the appropriate list when it ‘pops’ into your head
- don’t stop once you get started writing again
- go back to reading the list again

6. Examine your FEAR entries and think of possible solutions that can alleviate them. If you think of things “to do” or “desire” as part of the solution, add it to that list.
- if you think of a complete solution that you can “do” add it to your “to do” list and STRIKE IT OFF your FEAR list.

7. Examine your DESIRE entries and think of possible solutions so you can acquire them. If you think of things “to do” or “fear” add it to that list.
- what do I need to do to get it
- make more money is a very common solution to many desire related entries

8. Prioritize your TO DO entries .. then sit back and relax.

Most people are afraid to take action .. because they are afraid that if it doesn’t work, they will be a failure. If they do not take action, it feels better.

Stop sweeping your problems under the rug. Face your problems and get real solutions.

By doing something and progress, anything can be accomplished.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully rebooted your brain.

Make copies of this information and store it in a safe place.

Now What
- take ACTION
- work with your master “TO DO” list
- start at the top and get to work
- when you complete an item strike it off your list
- date your accomplishments
- save the pages
- comment on why you wanted to to the items

- make sure to keep details about your FEARS (the ones you can do something about)
- the steps to accomplish anything are finite. What is variable is how long we take to do them
- repeat this at least once a month, add to existing pads
- it will go a lot faster the next time
- spread the word. Tell others to go to http://www.marketingsecrets.com/reboot.html

John…

One more thing… I will do this weekend my “brain reboot” and then I will post here my results!

One more time, and it’s never too much, Thanks With All My Heart,
Maria Madeira - “The Angel Of Distance Loving Help”

P.S. Hey YOU, yes I am speaking to you that reading this comment, when you will do your “brain reboot”? Didn’t you feel better just for listening/watching the video? I did, so I will do the 8 steps because I more than believe they will work. Do it too!

41. Rob Sellen Says:

Glen,

THANK YOU so much for expanding on it all for me.. :)

I hace done a brain dump or two after reading the pdf john done..

So this video is just an exspansion of that?

Ok.. will do that myself…;)

Thank you very much for doing that.. I am very grateful for you taking the time to reply to me.

It does mean alot when someone explains things I miss out on, lack of communication has to be one of the most FRUSTRATING things in life..

Ah well… we can’t all be perfect..;)

So I HAD to have some flaw then.. ;)

Thanks again.

Take care,

Rob.

42. Roy Says:

Great info John.

Along with your great info, along with the 3 pads, I would also suggest putting a calendar around you when doing the list. That way will put things into perspective.

Basic but truly great stuff. Information overload is everyone’s problem now. This method is truly a free and simple way to unload ourselves, once in a while to get back into the perfect thinking “shape”.

- Thanks again.

Roy
P.S. I’ve been a follower of you for a long time; just that I don’t have that much money to invest into your products. (Quite expensive when translated to the currency in my country.) Thanks for great free info anyways.

43. Roy Says:

Could anyone be kind enough to put up the braindump pdf file for those who may not hear the video clearly unlike many of us have the priviledge of hearing?

- Thanks

For Roy……. :)

45. Colm Dillon Says:

Hi John,

Nothing but support for your “action’ ideas; congrats.

I was a real estate developer from the big end of town with $1.2 Billion worth of projects under my belt, when the big ‘C’ came a’visiting.

After a 7 hour op I was back into the fray within 10 days - no analysis by me, after all the best cure is to get back in the saddle; isn’t it?

Surprise, surprise; my friendly “C” came back to visit again a few years later.

Darn It!

Solution, have another op - that’ll sort it out and then I can get back to the fun - no analysis by me, after all the best cure is to get back in the saddle; isn’t it?

Did I just say that?

Now where was I? Oh yeh, in the saddle - doin’ - buyin’ - buildin’ …

Now you know good things come in threes. Well, so do the bad things.

So after my third “C” visit and medical solution, I said to myself (Notice the quick thinking; not.) I wonder if my lifestyle is causing all this ‘visiting hospital stuff?”

You see by not pasting “C” ON MY OFFICE WALL (read $108,000) I didn’t have to face the fact, that by facing my work lifestyle, I didn’t have to face the decision of “what the hell do I do with the rest of my life. (Fear)

So you see that we both faced the same issue - you had a $108K problem - I had a loss of ‘relevance’ problem; a big issue for most people, especially when you’ve been kicking business goals.

Decision?

Give up being a developer.

Life Relevance Issue.

Write an e-book that teaches people How To Develop; Learn how to build a web site and become a real estate development coach. Well that was three years ago; life is fantastic; my big ‘c’ pal doesn’t visit any more.

I’ve just re-read tat last paragraph and no I don’t teach people how to get ‘c’ by doing development; my problem was size and volume.

Hope this helps readers, as a variation on your video lesson.

Bye,

Colm

46. Chris Hubbard Says:

John,

I know it’s probably getting redundant by now but I wanted to sincerely thank you for taking your valuable time to create this video. This could not have come at a better time for me. I almost felt like you knew exactly what I have been struggling with recently and gave me the answer…pretty crazy but true.

Your perception of the law of attraction was incredibly inspiring to me. I read Joe Karbo’s Lazy Man’s Way to Riches, Psycho Cybernetics, and watched The Secret….. and I listen to Tony Robbins on a regular basis… but have really struggled with the metaphysical ideas behind the law of attraction… A struggle so bad that I stopped repeating my goals aloud every day and decided to just focus on the action that I need to take..

Well this simply doesn’t work. I have my good weeks where I am taking action and kicking a$%..um…I mean…making progress. Then the next week, I will procrastinate and see that all of my deadlines that I’ve written on my white board have passed and the actions needed have not been taken. It is a constant struggle for me.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve gone through many businesses…but I’ve never had the passion and drive that I have for internet marketing. It is a wonderful feeling to know that you have found your life’s work. This is what I feel I was meant to do. I’m currently trying to transition from the mortgage business to marketing online full time. It is an exciting but scary feeling…and I’ve spent far too much time and wasted far too much brain power worrying about failing.

I have wiped my schedule clean and am going to take a day to do this 8 step method. I will come back and post my results.

Can’t thank you enough John.

Chris Hubbard

47. Regina Says:

John,
That was absolutely fantastic!

And this comes from a person who has done this kind of brain dump before and who has read materials that discuss similar methods. But that does not make what you said and how you said it any lesser. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

My challenge has been that I don’t do the exercise regularly. So, this listening has set me off to do this exercise again.

Just to share the impact of doing this exercise.

1. It is a very relieving experience and a nice feeling just completing it.

2. The action list. There is a magic in it. Once these things are written down, there is a tendency to get things done. And quicker than if not written down.

3. Just writing down what one desires in life attracts things to you or draws you to things you would have ignored previously. You start meeting the right people, reading the right books and the right things pop up in your life. It is just amazing!

The other technique that helps tremendously is visualizing the end result. Not the steps that are required. Typically if you think of the steps, you start worrying whether you can get it done. And this overloads the brain again. The steps should just to be acted on.

The other point is that sometimes things just do not happen fast enough or not at all. Then I do whatever I need to do the best I can and let it go. The letting go seems to be important. I have noticed that when nothing happens, something better turns up or it does not matter any more.

I am not a great participant of forums, but I just had to say all that.

Thanks for sharing what worked for you.

Regina

48. Paul Bergman Says:

John,

Once again you have over delivered. First with TrafficSecrets, Brain Dump and now Brain Reboot.

I can’t wait for the new TrafficSecrets. what is the time frame on that.

Thanks,
Paul Bergman

49. John Reese Says:

Just wanted to say that I will definitely comment (tomorrow) on all the other posts that have been made since my last comment. Thanks so much everyone! I’ve been up for nearly 40 hours straight without sleep so it’s time to finally crash… do you see the sacrifices I make for you guys? :) I didn’t finish that video until like 7am and by the time I wrote the email for my list it was so late in the morning I decided to stay up until now… so it’s bedtime for me. I’ll post more tomorrow! Keep up the great work with the Method!

50. Michael Lee Says:

Hi John,

Awesome video! Actually, I’ve been doing this “writing to-do list stuff” and “crossing them afterwards” using a tiny notebook that I can take everywhere. You took it to the next level! All I write about is what I think are important to do, but I think you’re right when you said that we should write down every single bit of thought of what we must do, our desires, and our fears - down to the smallest detail. I’ll implement what you taught immediately. Thanks for the excellent video!

Michael Lee

51. Stephen Says:

So simple but extremely powerful…if you don’t rush it and really let it all fall out of your head. I’ve employed a similar metod but NOT the “three pad method”. It may seem silly to someone who may not have tried this but that is CRITICAL.

As an intel analyst in the US Air Force I do not have a lot of time to spend marketing my online businesses. Doing this brain dump helped me re-evaluate what I REALLY wanted to accomplish (not what I thought) and helped lay a solid foundation on how to achieve my LONG/SHORT TERM goals.

Good stuff John…sent it out to my list as it is highly beneficial. =)

52. Mohsin Says:

Wow, great video!

Thanks, i really enjoyed this and it is real device to Re-evaluate the thinking…

Yeah i have also shared to all my list and friends! great source to share!

53. Darwin Says:

Thanks John,

It seems we have the hardest time telling the truth to that person in the mirror. Maybe the second hardest time telling others the truth about the person in the mirror.

We have no problem telling others their faults and problems. We have no problem giving advice about what they should do but when it comes to ourself we float down that De-nial River.

If we sit down and do as your video recommends we have most of the problem licked. Admission and action is halfway there. Good call.

I admire your courage, John, to publicly admit your human failings. So you admitted what was wrong and now you are confessing to your community. Great. I admire you for that and thank you for sharing with us who haven’t yet discovered the secret.

I am not a young college drop out but I still need what you are sharing and will put it to good use. I went out and bought the 3 notebooks and will begin the new adventure tomorrow.

I am not a guru. I am relatively new to the internet marketing world. It is my “second’ career after the military. So mylearning curve is steep because I don’t have the 10 years to waste. So I believe as you said, “if it can be learned in 5 years, it can be learned in 5 months.” Something like that. I have been selective who I chose to learn from and John you are one of the few Guru I respect and want to model.

Thanks again for the 67 minutes of value. I know it was good because it only seemed like about 15 minutes.

Darwin

54. Angela Wickenberg Says:

Hi John,

I didn’t get to see the entire video - it stopped at 48 minutes, but I got down all the steps and will “Reboot” later today. (It’s Saturday here in Sweden where I live). This is similar to other methods I’ve learned throughout the years, but why haven’t I applied them? Fear of something, to be sure!

I can so relate to what you were going through when you were 23 years old. Thanks for sharing your story. I hope to hear the rest later, but I have enough now to releive myself of “Information Overload” and will report the results when I’m done.

Thanks for being such a generous Soul!

55. David W Says:

Hey John

Cheers for doing this vid. Simple, practical advices! I am sure this would be a step up for me along with a crazyly huge lot.

Funny thing is, I started.. Okay I’ve been buying and going thru countless business and success materials but never really gone into taking action. And just last week I finally sat my ass down and wrote down everything.
Outside from any distractions, seperate notebooks on seperate topics, and down on paper in handwritings!!

It helps A Lot on clearance of the mind. I turned 22 now and looks like I will be one year ahead of you. AHA.

Again thanks. When I get to where I should be, I’ll thank you in person :)

56. Jim Fleck Says:

Hey John,

Very nicely put.

I too was almost 100K in debt in the mid nineties. I too made a list of
all my debts.

I kept that list in my pocket every day. I knew the balances of every
credit card, the ones that were the highest interest (I was paying those
off first), I knew my debt down to the penny.

Once I did that, it was paid off within a few months.

I’ve been debt free ever since, except my mortgage and my auto
leases, both of which there are arguments for and against having.

Since you asked for feedback and comments if I could suggest to
people to do step 3 before step 2. Just to have the happier, more
exciting and empowering thoughts of the “Desire Adventure” come
after the “Fear thoughts”.

That might help them be in a better state to continue rather than possibly
curled up in the fetal position sobbing uncontrollably and paralyzed with
fear ;o) lol.

Love to hear your thoughts.

The video was great timing for me, I just did my own version of this,
and it took me 2 WEEKS. So it was nice to get a fresh perspective on
things and add some new twists to my process, so thank you for that.

However, as I sit here and respond, I’m about 2 years from being
completely financially free, I’m 42. It feels pretty good. I work because
I love it. Heck, it’s Saturday morning, kids are still sleeping and I was
up planning the rest of my weekend. It’s a great way to live.

So, thanks again. Sorry you missed our tee time in San Diego at Frank’s
gig, maybe next time.

57. Assaf Says:

Hi John

Very nice video and I have a very good reason to support the method you express in the video.

My reason to support it is that the video is an expantion of the way I had changed my life to become more proactive and less stressful while implementing effective time management methods. I put few months ago the basic of it on my website http://www.business-starter.com/Time_Management.htm and you can see the similiarity between this one page and your 8 steps.

I think your video will be very helpfull for many people and I’ll recommend people to implement it.

58. Mike Mindel (Wordtracker) Says:

Hey John,

I enjoyed that video and just passed the link along to my dad who I think would benefit from it.

I’ve been doing a similar exercise for a few years and can honestly say that it really works for me.

The only real difference is that I use 6 x 4″ INDEX CARDS and write down a single to-do on each one. Then when it comes to prioritize them I can quickly shuffle the index cards and put the most important ones at the front. I do this on the weekend when I’m pottering around the house. It takes about 5 minutes.

And here’s the best part - when you finish a card - you get to RIP IT UP! Now that’s a great psychological motivator.

The other difference is something I picked up from David Allen’s Getting Thnings Done at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Getting_Things_Done).

And that’s the 2-minute Rule: If it would take less than 2 minutes to do something, just do it right away. It would take that long to formally defer it anyway. So you might as well do it now. Then you get to rip up your index card like… in two minutes!

I just love RIPPING up those index cards.

Can you tell?

:-)

Take care,

Mike Mindel

59. Matt Gallant Says:

John,

Thanks for sharing “Braindump on Roids”.
Lots of genius psychology on multiple levels
there…

I’m glad “you’re back”… and I know you will
raise the bar once again… As you did at
your historic seminar… And with the launch of
Traffic Secrets…

I’m planning on “dumping” for 10 hours straight
as I come back from Japan…

Matt

P.S. I hope you got my email last week…

60. The Great Brain Dump (And where my new media company will be headed in 2007) - Paul Short’s Weblog Says:

[…] The video was all about Brain Dumps. I won’t go into the technique here but I will tell you that what John outlines in this video is life changing if you put it into action. Here’s a link to John’s video. It’s about an hour long, so be prepared. I listened to this thing at about 8pm last night - it’s about 10am now, the next morning and I finished about an hour ago. I’m exhausted, but I feel more energized and creative now than I have in years. It’s that good. […]

61. Angela Wickenberg Says:

Hi again,

I promised to report after rebooting my brain…

well since I’m in the position you were in 16 years ago, I decided to focus on how to create some money within six hours. I started out with the three notebooks, but focused on the To Do list, only writing in the other ones when something came to mind. I limited my writing to doing the things I could do to create/make money without HAVING money. I focused on starting a blog. Being a “newbie”, I had to study for a few hours.

While taking a break recently, I checked one of my email accounts and there was a message there that I had received money through PayPal. Perhaps it was coincidence, perhaps not. Someone finally decided to pay me a part of what they owed me. I had given up (= RELEASED the desire/dependency) on them paying me back and concentrated instead on creating the money from some other source. Sounds like hokus pokus?

I believe that I had some kind of mental blockage to receiving money and even though there was money owed to me for a very long time, I had not been receiving much of anything for months.

So thanks, John! Thanks Universe!

And I haven’t even done any serious brain-dumping yet!!! Will report more later, as I believe this will have a major effect on me.

Last Spring, I flew from Sweden to NYC just to attend an advanced “releasing” seminar - The Sedona Method. That was very good, too, and have practiced EFT - emotional freedom technique, also works pretty well up to a point.

I have also studied and more or less practiced various “spiritual”/mental/self-help techniques since I was a teen (and I am now a mother of four children - three living at home). But even though I have spiritual values, somehow, I had a hard time including money in those values, even though I had learned and practiced “advanced manifesting techniques” and major visualization techniques with universal symbols and the like.

It is definitely time to “Free My Mind” from all of my old baggage, whatever the method. This method allows one to clearly see what it is we really want and what kind of illusions we hold. Thanks again for sharing this and for serving as a great reminder to release unwanted and certainly unnecessary baggage.

Warmly,

Angela Wickenberg

62. Derek Says:

Hey John,

What a nice gift you’ve given everyone - very unselfishly.

Good for you!

Your method is fantastic!

As I watched it, It made me remember a project I was thinking of starting years ago about ‘realizations’ and how each of us can be deeply impacted by things we never realized before - something your reboot method teaches.

I would humbly add two more lists to the process:

1. A Gratitude/Success list - List all the things you’re grateful for in your life, as well as all the success you’ve had in the past.

2. A ‘Why’ list - List all the benefits you’ll gain by achieving your ideal life. Marketers should know how to do this, and realize the benefits from doing it. :)

These lists, in addition to the lists you mention, create a ‘realization’ in life unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Well, thanks again.

Derek

63. mike Says:

i hit view source and the code “#8217;” in red letters keeps comming up…
You’ve used an alt take with “what is it”… so is the answer “what”… you said “what ” is it so it must be “what”…

someone try subscribing to his rss feed, maybe he has a secret pot.

I tried adjusting the contrast and stuff in photoshop, but couldn’t figure it out

64. mike Says:

lol secret POST, not pot… I didn’t mean to suggest that John Reese had a secret stash of marijuana…
…but then again if all the internet marketers were potheads, that sure would be a big change in the community!

65. Chris Crompton Says:

John,

Thanks for the video. I just finished “rebooting my brain.” It took about 2 1/2 hours. My wife is away today so I had to whole house to myself.

After the todo section, I was pretty depressed with all I had to do and all I’d been neglecting. I took a long break. After putting down my desires, I had started feeling better. I felt much better after listing my fears.

I’m in a bit of debt, and have been trying for the past 7 months or so to make some money online (and have gotten further in debt in the process). I finally have a product and it has sold decently. Not comes the hard part of getting more traffic to my site and attracting more affiliates.

I got an offer to join StomperNet today under your affiliate link (I was on the waiting list and today’s my personal opening.). I was thinking of joining just so I can get your “detailed business analysis” bonus. The $800 a month would add to the credit card bills, so I’m still deciding. It may be the only worthwhile thing I ever put on credit! I’ll need to decide in the next couple hours.

66. Deep Arora Says:

This is simply amazing. I am going to do it immediately after this post :)

And I will share it with all my customers by posting it on my blog at www.deeparora.com/blog also. I bet, they will love this stuff.

Thanks John,

67. John Reese Says:

Casey - You’re exactly right. Debt is nothing to fear. Keep up the great work.

Lisa - Thanks!

Trish - I’ve been exposed to some Time Management stuff, and have seen some of Allen’s teachings. This ‘method’ of mine isn’t about time management as much as it is about freeing your mind of clutter, getting it out of your head, and then moving forward in life with a plan to attack those things that need to get done as well as to accomplish everything you desire in life.

Adam - Thanks! When you’ve been studying marketing as long as I have and have spent so many hours on it, a lot of ‘headline’ stuff pops into your head — it can be a little ‘weird’ when it happens as you are having a conversation with a non-marketing person! :)

Ray - You’re welcome, thanks for the compliment! And I actually like football analogies… too bad my Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 0-4. OUCH.

Rob - As you’ll now notice, Glen took the time to write up a detailed breakdown of the method. I’ll make a note to have the video transcribed…

Maria - Thanks for sharing that! And thanks for encouraging others to do the exercise!

Glen - YOU DA MAN! :) A big “thank you” for detailing the video for anyone that can’t hear it or can’t view it. GREAT POINTS on using a “Dream Board” and your other suggestions. As for the “FEAR” issue, I don’t want people to focus on their fears, I want them to focus on the potential SOLUTION to their fears. But it’s a proven, psychological fact that just trying to “bury it in the subconcious” is not healthy… your tip on reversing it into a desire is a great one.

Roy - Great point about the calendar! And thanks for the kind words… don’t worry about not being able to afford my products. As you’ve realized, you can get plenty of value without buying anything. Even if you haven’t bought one of my products (and never do) thanks for making good use of my teachings.

Colm - Thank you sharing your story! That’s amazing. I’m so glad to hear life is a lot better for you now. It certainly sounds like it’s almost the OPPOSITE of what it was. Glad you found your ‘calling.’ Sometimes we find out true path in life by taking an aweful lot of detours. ;-) And many times those detours lead to dead-ends. If so, as you discovered, we just do a quick U-Turn, get back on the highway and keep driving until we get to a destination we DO want to be at.

Chris - THANK YOU for the great feedback. I’m sincerely glad this video ‘hit you’ at the right time in your life for you to get a lot out of it. That alone made it worth me staying up for two days without sleep to get it made and put online. :) What you have described is what we ALL go through. No one can be super productive every moment of everyday without reaching a major point of BURN-OUT. It’s critical not to overwork yourself and get burned out, yet at the same time you DO need structure and balance and a ’schedule’ that you will try to stick to so it keeps you on track.

Regina - You’re very welcome! Thanks for taking the time to make a post and share your thoughts with others. I love your comment about VISUALIZATION. I’m a big believer in it too. Jack Nicklaus, the famous golfer, wrote in one of his books that his ’secret’ to being the world’s greatest golfer was the he would visualize every shot before he made it. He would think about how the ball would fly through the air, and it what direction, and with what arch, and then he would step and reproduce what he visualized. So you’re right, it’s a lot easier to create what we want if we truly think about what it would ‘look’ like if we already had it.

Paul - Thanks! I hope to release Traffic Secrets The 2nd Edition in the coming months. Most likely it will be in the first quarter of 2007.

Michael - Great! You’re very welcome.

Stephen - Thanks for your feedback!  We all have time constraints whether we realize them or not, and you’re exactly right.  It all comes down to making the best use of our time.  And you also hit the nail on the head… the ‘key’ is not force it and let everything just pour out of your head.  Thanks for telling others about it.  I really appreciate it.

Mohsin - You’re welcome!  Thanks for sharing it with others.

Darwin - Great perspective!  Thanks for the compliments and kind words.  I’ll let you in on a little secret… I’m not a guru either.  I’m just a regular person like everyone else that is sharing what they’ve discovered and continue to discover.  I don’t want people to ‘worship’ me, or bow at my feet, or stroke my ego to make me think I am ‘better’ human being than anyone else.  I feel I have a lot to teach others that they will benefit from and so I do my best.  If people enjoy learning from me and benefit from it that’s all that matters.  I’ll leave all that guru stuff to the guys that want to strut around and think they’re hot stuff and that they’re a celebrity or whatever.  I’ll just relax in my house, continue to work hard, and enjoy having my businesses make 10 TIMES what they will ever make because they are so focused on themselves.  They just don’t get what makes the ‘universe’ (and a successful business of delivering value to your customers) work.  And I don’t mean to sound like MONEY is the only thing that matters, but it’s the core focus of building a business and that’s what entrepreneurs do.  It’s FUN more than anything else.  Thanks for your feedback!

Angela - You’re very welcome!  Come back and let us know how the ‘method’ worked out for you.

David - That’s great!  When you get to where you want to be don’t thank me, thank yourself. :)

Jim - Hey!  I’m really sorry I had to cancel my trip to San Diego.  I had some family obligations come up.  I really wanted to impress you guys with my 325+ yard driving ability. :)    I considered making a run as a professional golfer when I was in college but decided to continue to pursue having my own business instead.  I have no doubt I could have “wow’d” you guys will my huge drives… the only problem is that those drives would probably either land in a parking lot, on someone’s roof, or across a street somewhere.  Hehe.  I haven’t played enough in the past few years to keep up that important “timing” and rhythm.  It would have been a very long day at Torrey Pines for me. :)     (And you guys as you’d have to watch me tee off more than once after being out of bounds.)  Hope you guys had fun!  I’ll definitely have to make the next one.  Anyway…  GREAT COMMENTS.  Thanks for sharing your story with everyone.  And you make a great suggestion about rearranging the ‘desires’ step and ‘fear’ step.  I never really thought about it that way.  Makes sense!   In fact, it might make more sense to do ‘Fears’ FIRST, ‘Desires’ SECOND, and “To Do’s” LAST.  Thanks again, Jim!  Keep up the great work!

Assaf - Great tips!  Thanks for sharing that.  Thanks for recommending it to others.

Mike - What’s up, Mikey? :)    Thanks for your feedback!  You’re right… there’s something incredibly gratifying about tearing up those cards, striking through something on a list, etc.  It really connects in our brains that sense of ACCOMPLISHMENT.  Great tip about the “2-minute” rule.  I like that!  Thanks for your post.

Matt - Hey Matt, LTNS.  Not sure if I got your email… I have a massive backlog I have to go through.  Thanks for your compliments and continued support.   And let us know how your “dump session” (that sounds so funny) goes.

Paul - THANK YOU!  Great blog post.  Thanks for much for the kind words and for spreading the word.

Angela - That’s GREAT!   Thanks so much for coming back and sharing your results with it.  Keep up the great work!

Derek - You’re very welcome.  Fantastic tips!  Thanks for suggesting those to others.

Deep - Awesome!  Please do let us know how it goes for you.  I’m anxious to read about your results.  And many thanks for mentioning it on your blog!

This John is by far the most straight forward way to do this. I enjoyed the “BRAIN DUMP” before and I know this new method using it in ALL aspects of my life will be a great new way to do things.

I plan on putting it to use this very evening after hubby gets home so I can have time ALONE without having to deal with kiddos.. ;-)

Thanks tons.

(addendum to my comment above) Well, I just got an unexpected $1000 check in the mail today and I’ve signed up for StomperNet to get your bonus. Can’t wait!

70. Carolyn Says:

Hi John,

Wow - great post and great gift. Thanks for all the info and tips, and for taking the time
to do it.

For your next edition, you could even put in the “Gratitide” Voyage - a list where you write down everything you are grateful for in life. Then as you are balancing your fears, your desires, and your to dos, you also are constantly reminded what it is that you already have. And that
in itself makes things seem not so bad …

Also one smiling response to your comments about two things that you indicated were
a little too “lofty” to put on your desire list:

1. Owning the Universe
2. Flying

Funnily enough, both of those things are completely possible if you have the right
techniques. Anyone who practices Transcendental Meditation ™ will know this is
true. So if anyone wants to think on the biggest possible level, feel free to look
at the TM website. (They can put that on their “To Do” list if they like. :)

Carolyn

PS And THANK YOU for responding to each and every one of us on this post. That
in itself if a first, and really makes the connection between everyone more real.

71. Hugh Simpson Says:

Hi, John! I have just finished some of the best three hours of recent times. I must say that your Reboot is better than Tony Robbins who I studied with via videos for two years. You have truly put all the pieces together and it is AWESOME! I now have a to do list that will choke a horse so I have to end this comment since I have to get ready for my big adventure as an emergency preparedness consultant discussed at http://www.myspace.com/hughsimpson!

72. Chris Hubbard Says:

Brain Successfully Rebooted!

I just finished this process. I promised I’d share my results so here goes:

First off, I did this in 2 sessions and don’t recommend that (I definitely lost some momentum and had to pick it back up). I got started very late last night…wanted to wait until today but had so many thoughts in my head from watching the video that I needed to get them out.

The feeling I got after creating all 3 lists was amazing. Not only did my mind feel relieved, I felt that I truly learned a few things about myself. I’m 27 years old and this is my first brain dump. I’ve written my goals down before and “to do” lists for the day or week…but never anything this extensive. I ended up with:

6 1/2 pages of “to dos”

2 pages of goals

2+ pages of fears

After finishing the 8 steps, I can honestly say that I feel empowered. No BS…it is a weird but very real feeling. There were so many things in my mind that I was trying to ignore or “sweep under the rug”… and these things (although not on the surface) were definitely bogging my mind down.

The process of writing out my fears was enlightening to say the least. I have never done anything like this before…but then taking a fear, dissecting it, and coming up with a plan to overcome it - PRICELESS! Here’s an example from my reboot:

I found that I have a fear of losing sight of what is truly important in life.

With the majority of my fears and thoughts focusing on money, I had to dig deep for this one. But then I was able to cross it out by adding the following steps to my “to do” list.

1. Take an hour for myself every day (the first hour) and workout.
2. While working out, think through everything I have that I am grateful for…things that were once goals but have now come to reality…people that are in my life, family, etc.
3. Visualize my goals and see myself having achieved each one.

OK, I stold this method from Tony Robbins, but this stuff works. I thought that guy was a wack job until I saw his infomercial and got curious….bought his CDs and started implementing his methods…really has improved my psychology drastically…but again have trouble staying consistent. I think this brain reboot exercise will help me deal with that.

I feel a true sense of excitement for my life. I prioritized my “to do” list by assigning each one a number from 1-3…1 being urgent and 3 being something that I will do later (a year or more out)

I now have a list of actions sitting in front of me that I truly believe I can work through to achieve everything I want in life, and erase my fears. It is an indescribable feeling. I am going to cross some of these things off of my list tonight as I feel inspired to take action.

John Reese - you are the man! A very sincere thank you. I hope that my post inspires others to take the time to do this. You won’t be disappointed.

Thanks John,

Your video hit me at the right time. I was at the point when I needed to hear exactly what you said…

As they say “when the student is ready the master will appear”.

Many thanks…

74. Julie Says:

John, I have to say that this is GREAT Advice! I have always done something very similar and it works! People have always made fun of my lists saying ” I need to make lists of all my lists” As long as a person is in the forward motion they are accomplishing something to be proud of. Fantastic Job!

75. Shariq Says:

John… this is AWESOME stuff!

i read once that someone asked einstien the date..
and he couldn’t recall that .. even what month it was!

his friend asked.. why don’t you remember that?

and einstien said “i want to keep my brain empty
so i can have more creative thoughts than factual ones.”

since then i’ve been nothing down my ideas that pop-up
and it has helped.. to focus ahead and on what to do..

but your process..

it just brought it all together..

i watched it at 3:45 i guess .. in the night..
and took some printer pages..
and got down on it.

at around 7 in the morning i finished..
and i felt so LIGHT.. i could have gone to sleep like a baby :-)

though i didn’t..
cudn’t actually

coz i was on fire to get started!

n even though i did the very same work after it..
but i was sooooo much more relaxed, focused… and
sure that what i’m doing is the best thing i should be doing
right now..

felt gr8!

n emailed my list about it at about 9..
n they were thanking me so much as if i made the video!

thanx a TON John..

you inspire me!

Shariq.

P.S. btw you’re DAMN right that most of our problems
can be solved by money. most ppl hate to accept that
but it’s the truth.

and i also loved that ‘fail as quickly as you can’
heard it a ton of times.. but today i just did the
stuff i was analyzing for the past whole week..

whatever happens… it’s good :-)

76. Cory Says:

Hey John, Cory here.

I just finished listening to your presentation and have to say it was… AWESOME!!

I like how you shared a bit of your past of how you became who you are today. That really hit home.

I posted your audio on my blogs today because I really enjoyed it and think others should get there ears on it and follow your 8 Step system.

My mentor thought me about some of the concepts you did mention within your audio and is what I’ve been applying to my life with great results.

3 years ago I was renting. Today I own 2 homes and working on our 3rd, have no debt and operate my own publication online and various other sites online.

I know it sounds like a testimonial but its true.

So I can honestly say that what you said within your audio is some great advice that EVERYBODY should take and make the time to listen to your 67 minute audio outlining your 8 Step system.

Keep it up John.

Aloha John,

Syncroniticity…

I was going through your old newsletters and PDFs last month and came across your original “Brain Dump” PDF and sat down that day and poured myself out — and it was liberating.

I love this newer tweaking. I will be sitting down later this week to do it again.

My girlfriend is watching the video now, so that hopefully we will be on the same “pages” when it comes to dumping our brains and achieving together.

What’s great about the plan you have laid out is that it is ongoing. I can really see how this will benefit me and my family.

I will get started on this when I wake up tomorrow, I mean later today. ;)

Thanks for sharing.

81. George Cockbill Says:

John,
Very good presentation, really encouraging to get started!

The passing comment about buying and holding stuff because of the sub concious need to protect the HOPE of sucess realy struck home for me. Doing a lot of that including building up credit card debt buying the stuff (tools I’ll need!)

When starting out I focus on an early success, even one $, not failing fast to learn. This is a problem for me.

Hope the 8 step method will cure this tendancy. The feeling from the video and the posts is very posative.
I’ll get on with it

Hi John, I used your reboot your brain method a few days ago. At first I was kinda skeptical, but i’m so glad I did.

It took me around 4 hours to complete… but since I’ve done it, I have already seen an increase in my income.

This exercise has given me so much FOCUS, it’s just unreal. So thanks very much, John.

83. Mr. Interwebs Says:

John,

Thanks for making this INCREDIBLE video!

I completed the entire process in about 4 hours yesterday and let me say- it’s AMAZING. A sense of calm and serenity has overtaken me and my mind power has been immensely boosted. Thank you for giving this to the world- your karma has just gone through the roof as you have released an exponential wealth building effect on the world. LOVE it!

86. Lisa Says:

Reboot executed. Let me just say I have made “to do” lists and some desire lists before BUT not to the extent that JR recommended to us. Often my “to do” lists were just for that day only. I have never made such a HUGE “to do list” EVER!

As I first started my “to do” list it came out quickly on to paper. As I think I had plenty of “to do’s” in my head. Next came the “desire” list which was quite fun! That was my favorite. It consisted of many jet setting adventures. LOL! The fear one was easy and short. Which I was sure I had more fears. Anyhow when I followed the steps and read aloud the “to do” list it was long and overwhelming just to look at. HOWEVER I was more then happy to say it out LOUD and I felt free just saying what I had to do.

I have discovered quite a bit of new things about myself when rebooting my brain.

1. It is a MUST! I have to reboot every month or I’ll get a virus LOL!
2. Its no wonder why I smoke. I have everything running a million miles in my head and no where to put it. (Even when I dream at night)
3. Priortize. Something I have discovered I haven’t been doing. When I used to make my “to do” list I would not do them from the most important to the least. I have a bad habit of jumping and acting on my every thought at that exact moment. Meaning I easily get distracted and lose focus for even the simplest things. In turn it throws me off track.
4. This ones funny. I have discovered that I really do want a boyfriend. (I was in denial about that one) I found this out plenty in my desires list.
5. As for my fears some were very silly, and is only a matter of me feeling comfortable in the uncomfortable.

I know I can commit to doing this every month. It removes the clutter from my brain. And boy I get thoughts a lot and forget easily too, so this I know will benefit me greatly. Not only that I suffer from severe migraines ever since I was a child. When they did an MRI on me they said that I was getting cluster headaches from thinking of to many thoughts at the same time. One other note to add is that yes I did mention that I smoke. You think after this exercise that I would go and light one up. But nope I felt no need.
It’s hard to explain the feeling into words. SO if you have NOT done your rebooting then HOP to it! especially if your type of person that stresses out a lot. Last but not least I would like to thank Mr. John Reese for sharing this with us. I am sure it will benefit others greatly. :-)

God Bless
- Lisa

P.S. I have already scratched something off my list. That was posting what I thought here. ;-)

87. Arman Says:

John,

This is fantastic stuff! Now before I write a full-blown “testimonial” of sorts, what I will do is give this a shot.

You will hear back from me within a week wherein I will detail how this has affected me.

‘Till then, thank you muchly!

88. Trevor Says:

This is so good John, and the timing for myself and my wife could not have been better!

In the UK we have an xpression called ‘taking stock’ as applied to where we are in life and this is exactly what we need to do right here, right now.

We are drifting and need to really sharpen our focus if we are to achieve anything other than an ordinary life.

Will report back!

89. Lesley Says:

Hi John

This is what I needed!
I have done up to Step 4. Going on Step 5.

While doing Step 1 to 3, I felt great and excited. It is as if I am laying my life out on a big blank sheet for me to view.

I am pretty excited to move on ahead with the next steps.

I promise I will report soon! :)

Thanks for sharing your secret!

Cheers

90. Roodey Says:

I think I really got more insight into my desires and fears, really found out what they were. This was an interesting exercise.

The main thing I noticed is that I have a whole bunch of little urgent to-do items that are “pants-on-fire” problems. These are simply diverting my attention from the more important things in life, but they have to be dealt with. Sometimes we procrastinate and ignore the little things so much that they just build up and blind us from the more important things. I am going to get my ass in gear and get the details out of the way so I can focus more on the important big picture items in my life.

91. Jen C Says:

John,
I’d read your report on this but found the video really good (yes, all 67 minutes of it).
You’re so right about the things we haven’t done paralysing us and facing our fears really is the only option. Can’t wait to sit down tomorrow and get it all down on paper.

Thanks
Jen

92. Alvin Toh Says:

It’s funny how the simplest exercise can make a big difference.

I am in the middle of starting my company and was trying very hard to put things together and ending up doing a lot of things myself. I knew I there were a gazillion things to do and new ideas to look into every day but just never took the time to take a step back to dump everything out on paper. I had some of it in a mindmap, some of it on my schedule, most of it in my head.

So, I end up walking around with this constant feeling “I got something I need to do today that I might be overlooking”.
Now, I just took a breather after doing this Brain Reboot. I mindmapped it and moved stuff around.

Goodness gracious, my businesss to do list is 10 times longer than my personal life to do list.
So, I asked myself, is that in proportion to the time I am spending ?

Which are the most important things I Need to do and if I can outsource part of it to release some time for my personal time e.g relationship, health?

I also need to wean myself off less productive activities e.g surfing through forum , reading emails, reading blogs (except this one :-) or keep it to selected few and only a certain amt of time). They don’t get on the to do list consciously but boy , do they creep into my time….time vampires.

Facing my fears- yes, that was one that took a lot of subconscious nervous energy out of me unconsciously. Some of the stuff is just there in the back of my mind and it’s silly not to want to deal with it ‘cos it occupied my CPU cycle nonetheless and sapped my full energy. When u look at them and decide , heck, I can deal with most of them by just doing this and that, I managed to cut all of them off. Now , just go do them and get momentum.

Brain Reboot- yes, great analogy and it’s definitely timely.

Being able to cross out some of my stuff today and then reprioritising my activities according to my most important outcomes from a eagle’s eye view has allowed my little voice “I got something to do that I may be overlooking” to take a rest and give me some focussed energy.

I just spent some “ME time” running and crossed out that under “Health- start running -3 times a week”, that was a great feeling and built momentum.

Hope to hear from you soon John once you are back from China.

regards
alvin

John,
I can’t seem to find your email address on the site. Either I’m blind, you’re clever, or I’m just one naive little feller.

I mentioned doing an interview with you in an earlier post, however, after thinking some more about your video and the sincerity I heard in your voice, I believe you really do want to help people, even if you’re forced to make a few bucks in the process.

Worst case, create a throw away address on Yahoo to protect your privacy and send me an email so I can communicate with you. Or, you can call me on my toll-free #. Of course you’ll just get my secretary (and a song and dance about how busy I am) but I promise to call you back.

94. Maria Madeira Says:

John,

I already reboot my brain!

Do you know what I found so powerfull here, like magic?

It’s the FEAR list!

In the past I already had done the “To do” and “Desire/Dream” lists. But never the FEAR list.

And the power is in dumping your fears from your head, or otherwise we will be thinking in them! And as we get more of what we think, and the FEAR list is not “good” stuff, we end by getting more and more of the things we fear!

It’s amazing the power of dumping your fears from your head, into the paper. I feel so much much more less “weighed”. I don’t have to be with my “fears” all time poping ( even if I don’t want ) into my mind.

Already good things started to happen into my life.

This is SO SO POWERFULL, everybody have to DO IT.

Your video repeats a phrase which you used in your newsletter on October 29th 2005. These were some of the most inspiring words I have heard.

“Did you know… the steps that you will take to get to $100,000/month in income are the SAME whether you take the next year to get there or five years?”

Hey Amigo,

Just wanted to make sure I you get to see my big “Thank You’s” in mutliple priceless ways.

You and Corey Rudl are my legends even when it sounds(weird in a way). I truly admire your principles, lessons and marketing.

You are making millions without having to sell the “CRAP” that 95% plus of the Internet Marketers are selling. I found that insulting but for many, it is either survival or getting to be #2,#3 of the people that are #1!

That to me gets me furious but excited in multiple ways. Both Rudl and you John have my respect, guys who are extraordinaire and to be recognize as legends for many decades to come- that I also want and will hopefully get recognize for, when the time comes!

Tell those Puerto Rican friends of your John that I am going to get in their club soon, all from Internet Marketing.

Thanks for Frank examples of him earning $100k a month, it is/was inspiring to hear it and their is probably more people than I though making this kind of money online. Marvolous!

I was going to be the #2 to post, but I think I am #100!

Now I just need to add 6 ceros to that figure to make it $100k a month. I replied to you, make sure to read the other message when you have time.

Thanks a lot. I was in totally confused state for the past few days. Simply superb u are. Made me to come to a conclusion of certain things. The list which was extra ordinary was FEAR List. U have people to realise many things while writing this list. I thank god that i was able to visualise your video at a confused state. Million dollar thanks to u to make me see myself as a better one to others. Let me experience it soon and tell u my feedback as early as posssible.
